13-04 WDSF European Championship Standard Aarhus / Denmark


Emanuel Valeri – Tania Kehlet from Denmark won the title (5 points). Congratulations to the new European Champions Standard! Again NGRI Arena in Aarhus set the stage for a major competition on April 20th. About 2,000 spectators followed the competition during the evening session. 61 couples from 34 European countries had come to Aarhus to find the champion in standard section. Emanuel & Tania later during an interview with WDSF Presidium member Heidi Götz said that it was very special for them to win the title in their homeland.

Andrey Zaytsev – Anna Kuzminskaya from Russian Federation win the European Championship Latin. Congratulations!

Aniello Langella – Khrystyna Moshenska from Italy, who became the World Champions Latin in Vienna last November, achieved runners-up position. The two favourite couples in latin dancing changed the places. Andrey and Anna won Rumba, Paso Doble and Jive while Aniello and Khrystyna achieved 1st places in Samba and Cha Cha Cha. The final score was 7 points for the winner and 8 points for the runners up couple.

13-03 WDSF Grand Slam Latin – Cambrils / Spain


The 2013 WDSF Grand Slam Latin Series started in Cambrils / Spain on March 31st. 76 couples had come to Cambrils at this Easter Sunday, only one week before the European Championship Latin in Krasnodar / Russia. Only a few of the top couples were missing.

This Grand Slam Latin competition was the first one being held under the new judging system 2.0. The atmosphere was very good, the performance of the couples was excellent.

Aniello Langella - Khrystyna Moshenska / Italy Andrey Kiselev - Anastasia Balaeva / Russian Federation

The World Champions Latin, Aniello Langello – Khrystyna Moshenska from Italy won the competition with 196,76 points, followed by Andrey Kiselev – Anastasia Balaeva from Russian Federation ( 184,27 points).

13-03 WDSF Grand Slam Standard – Cambrils / Spain

The 2013 WDSF Grand Slam Series started on March 30th in Cambrils / Spain. It also was the start of the new grand slam judging system 2.0. WDSF Sportdirector Marco Sietas had explained the new judging rules some weeks before on WDSF website.

Several tests had been made to assure the new system. The juging system 2.0. needs 12 adjudicators, who are seperated to four groups of three judges. Each group has to evaluate another criteria with an absolute appraisal between „very poor“ (0,5) and „outstanding“ (10,0) points.

VII D. O. World Dancesport Cambrils 2013 set the stage for this year`s WDSF European Championship Youth Standard. 55 couples from 30 countries had come to join the competition. After 4 rounds six couples had been qualified for the final.

2nd place:  Alexey Barkov – Anna Grishchenko / Russian Federation

3rd place:   Madis Abel – Aleksandra Galkina / Estonia
