13-08 WDSF Grand Slam Standard – Stuttgart / Germany

The last highlight of this year´s German Open Championships was the WDSF Grand Slam Standard. 288 ! couples started at Friday morning. After seven rounds the twelve adjudicators had qualified six couples for the final. Emanuel Valeri - Tania Kehlet from Denmark won the competition with 195,00 points. German Open Championships presented a lot of shows during the evening sessions. 10 years GOC in Stuttgart was the occasion for a special show at the first evening followed by a freestyle latin show presented by top professional couples. 13-08 WDSF Senior II Open Standard – GOC Stuttgart / Germany

German Open Championships set the stage for many high level competitions again. Same procedure as every year? Yes and no. This year, 232 couples had come to compete in this class. So it took two days to find the six finalists. Third day at German Open Championships. Time for WDSF PD Professional World Super Grand Prix Latin. Martino Zanibellato - Michelle Abildstrup from Denmark won all dances in the final ahead of Vladimir Karpov - Mariya Tzaptashvilli from Russia. Santiago di Cali / Colombia

DanceSport was part of the World Games 2013 in Santiago di Cali / Colombia with latin, ballroom and of course with salsa. Plaza de Toros, a bullfighting arena, set the stage for the paso double and the other latin american and ballroom dances and salsa. More than 17,000 spectators had come to the arena and some two thousand people were outside waiting for a place in vain.
