The Dance Sport World is coming back. On September 18th 2021 the WDSF World Championship Standard was held in Brno / Czech Republic. 67 couples from 40 countries had come to Brno to fight for the title of the World Champion Standard 2021. Evaldas Sodeika - Ieva Zukauskaite from Lithuania win the title. Francesco Galuppo - Debora Pacini from Italy achieve the runners-up position. 3rd place is given to Alexey Glukhov - Anastasia Glazunova from Russian Federation.

Antwerp Diamond DanceSport Cup 2020 sets the stage for the 2020 WDSF World Championship Standard Senior 1 in Belgium on 7th February. 106 couples from 22 countries joined the competition which was held in Sporthal Het Rooi te Berchem / Antwerp. Dmitry Vorobiev - Oxana Skripnik from Russian Federation won the title. Runner`s up position was given to Fabian Wendt - Anne Steinmann from Germany. Martin Schmiel - Carolin Schmiel from Germany achieved 3rd place.

WDSF World Championship ShowDance Latin was the next event presented at State Kremlin Palace in Moscow on December 14th 2019. 17 couples from 12 nations joined the championship. Fedor Poliansky - Dina Akhmetgareeva from Russian Federation won the title with 42.773 points ahead of Anton Aldaev - Natalia Polukhina from Russian Federation, who achieved runners-up position with 42.417 points. Artur Balandin - Anna Salita from Germany achieved 3rd place with 41.762 points.

The State Kremlin Palace set the stage for the 2019 WDSF World Championship ShowDance Standard and Latin on December 14th 2019. In standard section 16 couples joined the championship. Semen Khrzhanovskiy - Elizaveta Lykhina from Russian Federation won the title with 42.615 points ahead of Dmitry Pleshkov - Anastasia Kulbeda from Russian Federation, who achieved runners-up position with 42.521 points. 3rd place was given to Matej Stec - Elena Popova from Slovakia (41.352 points).

In 2019 Bremen ÖVB Arena again was the place for the Formation Latin teams to join the WDSF World Championship Formation Latin discipline. 19 teams from 10 nations had come to compete for the title. After two rounds the six finalists had been identified by the 12 adjudicators. And the winners ... come from Germany. Congratulations for the team and the trainers of the Grün-Gold-Club Bremen for the 10th time winning a World Championship Formation Latin. Runners-up position was given to the Vera Tyumen Latin Team from Russian Federation. Duet Perm from Russian Federation achieved 3rd place.

The Lithuanian DanceSport Federation, founded in 1989, took the chance to celebrate the 30th anniversary by organizing the 2019 WDSF World Championships Standard in Vilnius / Lithuania. 77 couples from 44 nation were nominated to take part. After the change of last year`s World Champions Dmitry Zharkov - Olga Kulikova from Russian Federation to the WDSF Professional Division, new World Champions Standard for the Amateur Class had to be found. Congratulations to Evaldas Sodeika - Ieva Zukauskaite from Lithuania for winning the title in Vilnius last Saturday, Nov. 30th. Francesco Galuppo - Debora Pacini from Italy archived the runners-up position. Third place was given to Evgeny Moshenin - Dana Spitsyna from Russian Federation.

Moscow also set the stage for the 2019 WDSF World Championship Latin. 84 couples from 52 nations participated this championship. After 4 rounds the six finalists had been identified. We saw great final rounds ... and a lucky couple from Russian Federation, winning the 2019 World Championship Latin: Armen Tsaturyan - Svetlana Gudyno. Congratulations! Runners´up position was given to Marius-Andrei Balan - Khrystyna Moshenska from Germany. Timur Imametdinov - Nina Bezzubova from Germany achieved 3rd place.

The 2019 World Championship Formation Standard was held on September 7th in Moscow. 12 formation standard teams had joined the championship. It was not the first time that the Vera Tyumen Standard Team from Russian Federation won the World Championship Formation Standard. Again they celebrated their theme "Champions League". Runner`s up position was given to Duet Perm Standard Team from Russian Federation with their theme "Welcome On Board". TSC Schwarz-Gold - ASC Göttingen 1846 from Germany achieved 3rd place with their theme "Stories".

19-02 WDSF World Championship Senior IV Standard | Antwerp / Belgium

The Antwerp Diamond Dance Sport Cup on February 8th set the stage for the 2019 WDSF World Championship Senior IV Standard. 172 couples from all over the world had come to Antwerp to find the new World Champions only 7 months after the 2018 World Championships Senior IV given in Nagano / Japan. 7 couples qualified for the final. Luciano Ceruti - Rosa Nuccia Capello from Italy won the title for the 4th time. In the interview after the competition they retired from competition dancing. Runners-up position was given to Renato Sibylle - Anna Martini from Italy. Vittorio Guida - Fortuna Canta from Italy achieved 3rd place ahead of Silvio Bettinelli - Cinzia Del Santo from Italy, who were set on 4th place. Duilio Castelli - Paola Patrizia from Italy achieved 5th place. 6th place was given to David Getchell - Allison Gonzalez from USA. Manfred Kerschner - Monika Kugler from Austria achieved 7th place. WDSF World Championship Youth Latin 2018 was held at Baltic Grand Prix in Riga / Latvia on December 15th. 79 couples had come to compete for the title. At the end Egor Kulikov - Maria Goroshko from Russian Federation won the title ahead of Vladislav Untu - Polina Baryshnikova from Moldova, who achieved runners-up position. Bronze medal was given to Wang Tian - He Jieruo from People`s Republic of China.
