Benedetto Ferruggia – Claudia Köhler / Germany won the title again …

Last year in Kalisz / Poland, Benedetto & Claudia already had won the title. This year everyone was excited to see how the duel between the German couple and Emanuel Valeri – Tania Kehlet from Denmark would end. Emanuel & Tania had won the World Championship in Moscow in October last year. The next face-to-face encounter of both top couples was in Tokyo at the Grand Slam Standard only some weeks ago. Benedetto & Claudia won the Grand Slam. Would there be a revanche in Koblenz now?

Who would be able to win the European Championship today? There are even some more top couples who are aspirants for the title. One of these are Simone Segatori – Annette Sudol starting for 1. TGC Redoute Koblenz + Neuwied. Simone and Annette had become World Freestyle Standard Champions last year.

The audience lived to see an exciting competition. The couples presented standard dancing on world top level. After ten hours of competition, Franz Allert nominated the new (and old) champions of standard dancing in Europe: Benedetto and Claudia from Germany were lucky to repeat the success of Tokyo. They won all five standard dances with a majority of 6, 7 or 8  1st places out of 9 votes from the adjudicators (5 points). Congratulations to the couple for this result!

 

 

Emanuel Valeri – Tania Kehlet from Denmark achieved 2nd places in all five dances also with a high majority of 7 or 8 votes out of 9 (10 points).
 

 

 

 

Simone Segatori – Annette Sudol from Germany attained 3rd place in all dances except the quickstep (16 points).

 

 

 

Sergej Konovaltsev – Olga Konovaltseva from Russian Federation achieved 3rd place in quickstep, 4th places in waltz and tango and 5th place in slow fox and vienna waltz. Totally they were set on 4th place (21 points).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Evgeny Moshenin – Genny Favero from Italy attained 5th place with 23 points. In slow fox and vienna waltz the couple achieved 4th places, in waltz, tango and quick step they were set on 5th places.

 

 

 

 

Daniil Ulanov – Irina Gogoladze from Russian Federation reached 6th place with 30 points.
