48 couples had come to Rimini to compete for the title in senior I standard section. Here are the six finalists:
1st place: Christian Bono – Elena Bono / Italy won all dances except the Slow Foxtrot (6 points)
2nd place: Stefano Bernardini – Stefania Martellini / Italy (9 points)
3rd place: Zdenek Pribyl – Lenka Pribylova / Czech Republic (17 points)
4th place: Csongor Balogh – Anita Szabo / Hungary (21 points)
5th place: Thorsten Zirm – Sonja Schwarz / Germany (26 points)
6th place: Rodrique Vieux – Adrina Teoli / France (26 points)
