Austrian Open Championships - Vienna set the stage for WDSF World Championship Latin and a lot of high class competitions for juniors, adults and senior classes from November 16th - 19th at Multiversum Schwechat. Around 1000 couples from 55 nations joined the competitions. Among these competitions a WDSF Open Standard Senior IV was held von Thursday. 25 couples participated the competition. Luciano Cerati - Rosa Nuccia Capello from Italy achieved 1st place.
The 2017 Luxembourg Open Championships in Bertrange from September 22nd - 24th set the stage for many competitions of standard and latin competitions again. Copenhagen Open 2017 set the stage for the WDSF World Open Standard competition on Friday 17th at Tivoli Hotel & Congress Center. 66 couples joined the competition. Anton Skuratov - Alena Uehlin from Germany won the World Open Standard ahead of Bjorn Witsch - Ashli Williamson from Denmark, who achieved runners-up position.

Paul Moldovan - Christina Tatar from Romania for the second time became WDSF World Champions Under 21 Latin. Windson Tam - Anastasia Novikova from Canada achieved runners-up position. This year´s WDSF World Open Championship was held held on April 26th in Calvià / Spain. 63 couples from 26 countries from Europe and North America had come to Calvià to find the champion.
German Open Championships presented a lot of shows during the evening sessions. 10 years GOC in Stuttgart was the occasion for a special show at the first evening followed by a freestyle latin show presented by top professional couples.
