THE CAMP 2014 – Wuppertal / Germany

Again THE CAMP, The Official International DTV Training Camp, being held in Wuppertal from April 22nd - 24th this year, was a great success for more than 200 couples from 31 countries, 37 trainers and the organizer, Asis Khadjeh-Nouri and Henner Thurau. 14 lectures in standard and in latin were offered to the couples. 28 group lessons in both disciplines gave the chance to practice. And of course the couples had the chance to book private lessons with the top trainers. At the end all participants were lucky to have met once again in Wuppertal at the Historical City Hall.

14-04 WDSF World Championship Under 21 – Latin Calvià / Spain

Paul Moldovan - Christina Tatar from Romania for the second time became WDSF World Champions Under 21 Latin. Windson Tam - Anastasia Novikova from Canada achieved runners-up position. This year´s WDSF World Open Championship was held held on April 26th in Calvià / Spain. 63 couples from 26 countries from Europe and North America had come to Calvià to find the champion.

14-04 WDSF World Championship Senior IV Standard – Calvia / Spain

Mallorca DanceSport Challenge set the stage for the first WDSF World Open Championship Standard for Senior IV couples. The participance of 104 couples at the event demonstrates the rightness of the decision of WDSF to offer competitions for this very active group of dancers. Senior IV fits to the spirit it of the age. These dancers show high enthusiasm ... and everyone can see the really good performance of this class. Make up your own mind and watch the semi-final and the final rounds!

15-04 WDSF European Championship Latin – Aarhus / Denmark

April 5th was the date of 2014 European Championship Latin. Aarhus Sportdanserforening had prepared NRGi Park Stadion hall for this competition. 60 couples had come to compete for the title. Aniello Langella - Khystyna Moshenska from Italy won the title winning all dances ahead of Gabriele Goffredo - Anna Matus from Moldova, who attained runners-up position.

14-03 WDSF World Championship Junior II Latin – Moscow / Russian Federation

Junior II dancers from all over the world had come to Moscow on March 30th to find their world champions. 67 couples started and performed tremendously. It was a great pleasure for the audience to live to see these young and very dedicated dancing latin. Semen Khrzhanovskiy - Vitalina Bunina from Russian Federation won the title ahead of Nikita Olinichenko - Elizaveta Pustornakova from Russian Federation too.

14-03 WDSF European Championship Standard – Moscow / Russian Federation

This year`s WDSF European Championship Standard was held in Moscow on March 29th. 56 couples had come to Moscow to compete for the title. Winners are Emanuel Valeri - Tania Kehlet from Denmark. Emanuel and Tania declared, this was their last championship as amateurs.

14-02 WDSF Grand Slam Latin
Tallinn / Estonia

The first reel of the WDSF Grand Slam Latin 2014 series started with 59 couples in Tallinn / Estonia on February 23rd. The top four couples from last World Championship in December in Berlin had come to Tallinn. Aniello Langella - Khrystyna Moshenska from Italy unchallenged won the competition with 198,43 points out of a maximum of 200,00 points. No doubt, this was outstanding. But what about the other couples?

14-02 WDSF Grand Slam Standard
Tallinn / Estonia

The WDSF Grand Slam 2014 series of major competitions started in Tallinn / Estonia this year on 22nd and 23rd of February. 47 couples were on the starting list at the end. Unfortunately some of the top couples were not available this weekend. A few couples did not arrive due to the strike in Frankfurt / Germany on Friday. Nevertheless there was a great atmosphere among the competitors and we saw excellent dance sport this weekend. Look at the pictures and the video of the final ...

13-12 WDSF World Championship Formation Latin – Bremen / Germany

Grün-Gold Club Bremen the stage for this year`s WDSF World Championship Formation Latin again and the A-Team of Grün-Gold Club won the title once more. Congratulations! The European Champions - Klaipéda University Team Zuvédra I from Lithuania - were set on 4th place this time. The Vera Tyumen Latin Team form Russian Federation achieved runners-up position, while the second German formation team - FG TSZ Aachen / TD TSC Düsseldorf Rot-Weiss attained third place. 13-12 WDSF World Championship Latin
Berlin / Germany

November is the time for the World Championships. Every weekend a new competition. First we saw the 10Dance in Vienna, followed by the standard section in Kiev. On November 30th 87 couples from 49 nations gathered in Berlin / Germany to find the World Champions Latin 2013. Aniello Langella - Khrystyna Moshenska from Italy won the title for the second time. Gabriele Goffredo - Anna Matus from Moldova attained runners-up position ahead of Marius-Andrei Balan - Nina Bezzubova from Germany. See the videos of the final rounds and the photos at the gallery.
