Fédération Française de Danse organized the 2017 WDSF PD World Championship 10Dance in Marseille France on October 7th. 15 couples of the Professional Division joined the competition. Bjorn Bitsch - Ashli Williamson from Denmark won the title ahead of Alexis Bergeon - Johanna Rivier from France, who achieved runners-up position. Michal Drha - Klara Drhova from Czech Republic were set on 3rd place.
Last but not least competition was the WDSF PD World Championship Master Class II Standard. Carlo Wilmer Righero - Manuela Traverse from Italy win the competition and the title. Runners-up position is held by Salvatore Cantone - Raffaella Grassi from Italy. Heinz-Josef Bickers - Aurelia Bickers from Germany achieve 3rd place.
Marcin Szymutko - Ksenia Yanchenkova from Ireland win the title. Mario Palermo - Sara Mola from Italy achieve runners-up position. Third place is won by Daniele Badiali - Maria Roberta Santini from Italy.
Second WDSF PD World Championship at Luxembourg Open Championships in Bertrange was the Master Class I Standard. David Schavel - Iryna Copp from Slovakia win the title. Giuliano Serafin - Emanuela Chittaro from Italy achieved runners-up position ahead of Daniele Pardini - Paola Rosi from Italy, who were set on 3rd place.

Andrea Leandri - Maria Cristina Trevisiol from Italy won the title ahead of Hajime Kishida - Yuko Kishida from Japan, who achieved runners-up position. Third place was given to Alex Endrizzi - ester Salerno from Italy.
Prague Open Dance Festival at Palace Lucerna set the stage for 2017 WDSF PD World Championship Standard on September 16th. 39 couples had come to Prague to compete for the title. Benedetto Ferruggia - Claudia Köhler from Germany win the title ahead of Donatas Vezelis - Lina Chatkeviciute from Lithuania, who achieved runners-up position. Bjorn Bitsch - Ashli Williamson from Denmark, who had become the World Championships ShowDance Standard only one week before in Chengdu, danced their first competition in Professional Division this weekend after switching from WDSF Amateurs to WDSF Professional Division and they won bronze medal.
Third day at German Open Championships in Stuttgart / Germany was impressed by Professional Division Super Grand Prix Latin competition. 49 couples from 17 nations joined the Super Grand Prix Latin. First place was given to Marts Smolko - Tina Bazykina from Latvia. Vitaly Panteleev - Angelina Nechkhaeva from Russian Federation achieved runners-up position. Dmitry Pugachev - Anastasia Selivanova from Russian Federation won 3rd place.
WDSF Professional Division Super Grand Prix Standard was the first highlight at the opening day of this year`s German Open Championships. 55 couples from 16 nations joined the competition. Benedetto Ferruggia - Claudia Köhler / Germany won the Super Grand Prix Standard ahead of Donatas Vezelis - Lina Chatkeviciute from Lithuania, who achieved runners-up position. Third place was given to Giuseppe Longarini - Katarzyna Kapral from Poland.
Baden-Baden DanceSport event on June 24th set the stage also for DTV Professional Division Grand Prix Standard. Six couples from DTV PD had come to compete. After the five dances of the final, the finalists had to present a show dance, which was part of the competition. Only six weeks after PD European Cup Latin and two weeks after PD European Championships Latin, another major event for PD Latin couples is on stage: PD World Cup Latin in Baden-Baden / Germany. 19 couples from 13 nations participated the competition. The two top couples of PD European Cup Latin changed position. Runners-up in Debrecen at the European Cup, Marts Smolko - Tina Bazykina from Latvia, won the World Cup Latin in Baden-Baden. And vice-versa, the winner of the European Cup Latin in Debrecen, Daniele Sargenti - Uliana Fomenko from Italy, achieved runners-up position in Baden-Baden. Third place was given to Wang Jun - Jia Yiwen from People´s Republic of China.
