Second WDSF PD World Championship at Luxembourg Open Championships in Bertrange was the Master Class I Standard. David Schavel - Iryna Copp from Slovakia win the title. Giuliano Serafin - Emanuela Chittaro from Italy achieved runners-up position ahead of Daniele Pardini - Paola Rosi from Italy, who were set on 3rd place.
Luxembourg Open Championships in Bertrange set the stage for 2017 WDSF PD World Championship Master Class II Latin. Andrea Leandri - Maria Cristina Trevisiol from Italy won the title ahead of Hajime Kishida - Yuko Kishida from Japan, who achieved runners-up position. Third place was given to Alex Endrizzi - ester Salerno from Italy.
Prague Open Dance Festival at Palace Lucerna set the stage for 2017 WDSF PD World Championship Standard on September 16th. 39 couples had come to Prague to compete for the title. Benedetto Ferruggia - Claudia Köhler from Germany win the title ahead of Donatas Vezelis - Lina Chatkeviciute from Lithuania, who achieved runners-up position. Bjorn Bitsch - Ashli Williamson from Denmark, who had become the World Championships ShowDance Standard only one week before in Chengdu, danced their first competition in Professional Division this weekend after switching from WDSF Amateurs to WDSF Professional Division and they won bronze medal.
24th Vienna Dance Concourse on April 9th 2017 set the stage for the WDSF Professional Division World Championship ShowDance Latin. Eight couples from five countries had come to the beautiful ballroom of the townhall of Vienna to find the new World Champion in ShowDance Latin section of the Professional Division. Of course, the winner of last year, Vadim Garbuzov - Kathrin Menninger from Austria, again joined the competition.
Third day of Austrian Open Championships was impressed by the WDSF PD World Championship ShowDance Latin. 13 couples had prepared a show dance latin for this competition. So it was a great presentation given to the audience. At the end the favorite couple Vadim Garbuzov - Kathrin Menzinger from Austria won the title with their new show "I Am A Refugee". Runners-up position was given to Michele Cantanna - Maria Richter from Germany.
Danish International Dance Festival in Aarhus in November 11th - 13th 2016 started on Friday with the first highlight - WDSF Professional Division World Championship Standard. 41 couples had come to find the World Champion of the Professional Division. Emanuel Valeri - Tania Kehlet from Denmark won the title ... and still on the podium announced their termination of active dancing in competitions.
20 couples of WDSF Professional Division joined the 2016 World Championship Ten Dance in Leipzig / Germany. The organizer - Oliver Talheim & Tina Spiesbach Event GbR - set the stage for this competition. Around 2.300 visitors had come to see the world championship and to take part in the ballroom event. At the end Anton Belyayev - Antoaneta Popova from Canada won 9 out of 10 dances in the final and became the new World Champions Ten Dance of WDSF Professional Division. Congratulations to the winner and to all finalists for excellent dancing!
Austrian Open Championships 2015 in Vienna/Schwechat on Sunday, November 22nd, had another highlight: the WDSF Professional Division World Championship ShowDance Standard. 9 couples joined the competition and presented wonderful dance shows in standard section. The couple from Austria, Vadim Garbuzov - Kathrin Menzinger, who actually also hold the title of the world champions in show dance latin section, had prepared a show also in standard section ... and won the title ahead of Marco Camarlinghi - Martina Minasi from Italy, who achieved runner-up position.
15th Dresdner World Dance Gala set the stage for 2015 Professional Division World Championship Latin at Maritim International Conference Center on November 7th. 41 couples from 22 countries had come to Dresden to compete for the title. The PD European Champion Latin, Andrey Zaytsev, started with his former partner, Anna Kuzminskaya.
