19-11 WDSF World Championship Standard I Vilnius, Lithuania

The Lithuanian DanceSport Federation, founded in 1989, took the chance to celebrate the 30th anniversary by organizing the 2019 WDSF World Championships Standard in Vilnius / Lithuania. 77 couples from 44 nation were nominated to take part. After the change of last year`s World Champions Dmitry Zharkov - Olga Kulikova from Russian Federation to the WDSF Professional Division, new World Champions Standard for the Amateur Class had to be found. Congratulations to Evaldas Sodeika - Ieva Zukauskaite from Lithuania for winning the title in Vilnius last Saturday, Nov. 30th. Francesco Galuppo - Debora Pacini from Italy archived the runners-up position. Third place was given to Evgeny Moshenin - Dana Spitsyna from Russian Federation.

19-11 WDSF PD World Championship 10Dance I Vila Nova de Famalicao, Portugal

The 2019 WDSF Professional Division World Championship 10Dance was held at November 9th in Vila Nova de Famalicao, Portugal. 14 couples joined the championship. And the winners are ... Bjorn Bitsch - Ashli Williamson from Denmark. After the prize presentation and the dance of honour, Bjorn & Ashli officially explained their retirement from competition dancing. Winning the 2019 PD World 10Dance was their 5th title as World Champions in Professional Division (3 x 10Dance / 1 x STD / 1 x ShowDance STD). We wish Bjorn & Ashli all the best and are looking forward to meet them in future as trainers and adjudicators. Runners-up position was given to Mario Cecinati - Rosaria Messina Denaro from Italy. Nicolaj Lund - Marta Kocik from Denmark achieved 3rd place.

The highlight of the 19th "Dresdner Welt Tanz Gala" was the WDSF Professional Division World Championship Show Dance Standard. 11 couples had joined this competition. And the winners of the Gold Medal were ... Bjorn Bitsch - Ashli Williamson from Denmark with their show " Rocky - The Story of our Career". The Silver Medal was given to Valentin Lusin - Renata Lusin from Germany for their show "Let`s Dance Live". Sean Smullen - Aimie Leak from Ireland achieved the Bronze Medal with their show "In Wonderland".

19-11 DTV PD German Championships LAT and Show Dance LAT I Dresden, Germany

2nd day of 19th "Dresdner Welt Tanz Gala" was the time for DTV Professional Division German Championships Latin and DTV Professional Division German Championships Show Dance Latin. Lars Erik Pastor - Natalia Szypulska from Grün-Gold-Club Bremen won the German Championship Latin. Eugen Plotnikov - Sophie Schuetz from TSC Saltatio Neustadt achieved runners-up position. Third place was given to Andrzej Cibis - Victoria Kleinfelder from TTC München. The DTV PD German Championship Show Dance Latin was won by Eugen Plotnikov - Sophie Schuetz. The title of their show: "Amadeus". 2nd place was given to Lars Erik Pastor - Natalia Szypulska for the show "Forrest Gump". Andrzej Cibis - Victoria Kleinfelder achieved 3rd place with "Gipsy Love".

19-11 WDSF PD Master Class I and II STD I Dresden, Germany

19th "Dresdner Welt Tanz Gala" in Germany set the stage for WDSF Professional Division Master Class I Standard competition, which simultaneously was the DTV PD German Championship Master Class I. Winner of the WDSF Master Class I were Victor Fischer - Alexandra Rehn from Germany, who at the same time became PD Master Class I German Champions 2019. 2nd place of WDSF PD MC I STD was given to Damir Abdoulganeev - Monique Broekmeulen from the Netherlands. Luis & Alexandra Monteiro from Portugal achieved third place.

Some of the couples of PD Master Class I also joined the following competition, PD Master Class II. Luis & Alexandra Monteiro from Portugal won this competition ahead of Pascal Bey - Mercédes Bey from France, who achieved runners-up position. 3rd place was given to Jörg Helmer - Angela Unternbäumen from Germany, who simutaneously became German Champions of DTV PD Master Class II.

The 10th International Dance Festival in Leipzig / Germany set the stage for the 2019 WDSF Professional Division World Championship Standard on 19th October. 41 couples from 19 nations joined the world championship. Organizer "Tanzschule Oliver & Tina" and their team presented a festive decorated exhibition hall and more than 2000 spectators had come to follow the WDSF PD World Championship Standard. Winners of the title are Dmitry Zharkov - Olga Kulikova from Russian Federation. The runners-up position was given to Nikolay Darin - Natalia Seredina from Moldova. Andrey Motyl - Ekaterina Kim from Russian Federation achieved 3rd place.

Palatul Republicii in Chisinau / Moldova was the place on October 14th for the 2019 WDSF European Championships Youth Standard. 53 youth couples joined the competition. At the end Vladislav Untu - Polina Baryshnikova from Moldova won the title. 2nd place was given to Sebastian Alin Zicoane Heler - Anka Copos from Romania. Ivan Reshetnikov - Elizaveta Kharinova from Russian Federation achieved 3rd place.

The 8th Slovak Open Championships 2019 set the stage for WDSF European Championships Youth Ten Dance on September 21st. 32 couples from 32 nations had come to join the competition. After six rounds standard and latin dancing the finalists had been qualified. Winners are Vladislav Untu - Polina Baryshnikova from Moldova. Yaroslav Kiseley - Sofia Philipchuk from Russian Federation achieved runners-up position. 3rd place was given to Jacub Bruck - Marina Makarenko from Czech Republic.

Moscow also set the stage for the 2019 WDSF World Championship Latin. 84 couples from 52 nations participated this championship. After 4 rounds the six finalists had been identified. We saw great final rounds ... and a lucky couple from Russian Federation, winning the 2019 World Championship Latin: Armen Tsaturyan - Svetlana Gudyno. Congratulations! Runners´up position was given to Marius-Andrei Balan - Khrystyna Moshenska from Germany. Timur Imametdinov - Nina Bezzubova from Germany achieved 3rd place.
