Same place one day later: WDSF European Championship Formation Standard is on stage at Ice Arena in Sochi. 8 formation teams from 5 nations had come to compete for the title. Vera Tyumen Standard Team from Russian Federation, the world champions of November 2017, won the title of the European Champion Formation Standard ahead of 1. TC Ludwigsburg, who achieved runners-up position. Third place was given to Szilver TSE from Hungary.

2017 WDSF European Championship Standard was held on May 19th in Olomouc / Czech Republic. 60 couples from 35 nations joined the championship. After 4 rounds the 6 finalists had been qualified. The winner takes it all: Dmitry Zharkov - Olga Kulikova / Russian Federation again won the title ahead of Ewalds Sodeika - Ieva Zukauskaite from Lithuania. Third place was given to Vaidotas Lacitis - Veronika Goldneva from Lithuania.

Same procedure as last year! Copenhagen Open set the stage for 2017 WDSF European Championship Ten Dance on Saturday, 18th of February. The venue - same as last year - was Tivoli Hotel & Congress Center. A place which is most suitable for competitive dancing. 27 couples from 27 countries had come to Copenhagen to compete for the title. The winner of last year, Konstantin Gorodilov - Dominika Bergmannova from Estonia, and the runners-up and World Champions Ten Dance, Jaak Vainomaa - Tina Savikurki from Finland, did not register for the 2017 ECH Ten Dance. So it was most exciting to see which couple would qualify for the title in 2017.

WDSF European Championship Latin this year took place at the Rimini Exhibition Center, organized by FIDS – Federation Italiana Danza Sportiva. 71 couples had come to find the European Latin Champion 2016. At the end Gabriele Goffredo – Anna Matus from Moldova won the title. Runner-up position was given to Marius-Andrei Balan – Khrystyna Moshenska from Germany.

Centennial Hall in Wroclaw / Poland set the stage for the WDSF European Championship Standard 2016 on May 14th. 59 couples from 37 countries joined the competition. Dmitry Zharkov - Olga Kulikova from Russian Federation confidentially won the title ahead of Evaldas Sodeika - Ieva Zukauskaite who achieved runner-up position.

WDSF European Championship Ten-Dance this year took place in the beautiful Tivoli Congress Center in Copenhagen on February 20th. 27 couples from 27 nations had come to compete for the title. Last year´s champions Miha Vodicar - Nadia Bychkova from Slovenia did not register. So a new European Champion had to be found. There were several couples highly qualified for the title. But only one couple could win the championship. At the end Konstantin Gorodilov - Dominika Bergmannova from Estonia won the title ...

The village of Elblag in the northern part of Poland set the stage for the WDSF European Championship Formation Standard on October 3rd. Twelve teams from 7 countries had come to Elblag. The world champion team of 2015 from Braunschweiger TSC in Germany had assembled the A-team nearly completely new. 7 couples came new into the A-team. So the European Championship was the first challenge for the team.

April 11th was the date for the European Championships 10Dance. 31 European nations had sent their national champions in 10Dance discipline to Megève / France. The championship was part of French Open 2015. Miha Vodicar - Nadiya Bychkova from Slovenia, the World Champions 10Dance of 2014, won the competition ahead of Jaak Vainomaa - Taina Savikurki from Finland.

IX. D.O. World Dance Sport in Cambrils on April 3rd 2015 set the stage for this year`s WDSF European Championship Standard. 57 couples from 37 countries joined the competition. There was a new European Champion to be found because last year`s winner, Emanuel Valeri - Tania Kehlet from Denmark, in the meantime changed to WDSF Professional Division. Simone Segatori - Annette Sudol from Germany, who had become World Champions Standard last November in Vienna, now took their chance to win the European Championship Standard too. Dmitry Zharkov - Olga Kulikova from Russian Federation achieved runners up position.

This is time for European Championships. The latin was held in Aarhus / Denmark on March 28th. One week later we shall have the European Standard in Cambrils / Spainon April 4th. Only one week later the 10 Dance section will have their European Championships in Megève / France. 67 couples from 38 European countries had come to NRGi Arenal in Aarhus to find a new champion in latin section. What about the favorite couples?
